DR. LAUREN MENTASTI, DMD, MPH

Dr. Mentasti was born and raised in Bristol, CT and received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from UCONN and her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. During her education she also worked as a dental public health researcher, with a focus on access to care, and published a number of articles and served as editor for a document commissioned by the State Department of Public Health. This work served as the basis for her Master of Public Health thesis. Today, Dr. Mentasti is a member of the Hartford Dental Society and the Connecticut State Dental Association and enjoys teaching and mentoring at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. She currently resides in New Hartford with her husband and two children and enjoys hiking, paddle-boarding and traveling in her free time.

DR. ANN SAGALYN, DMD

Dr. Sagalyn received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and attended the residency program in Family Dentistry at the UCONN. Dr. Sagalyn was an instructor at the UCONN Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program for fifteen years and has been practicing general dentistry in Avon for over thirty years. Currently, she participates as a mentor for the dental school and invites students into the office for shadowing experiences. Dr. Sagalyn resides in West Hartford with her husband, David Marks, and enjoys skiing, golf, and gardening in her spare time.

DR. SAMANTHA WESTON, DMD

Dr. Weston was born and raised in Farmington and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from UCONN and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. During her education Dr. Weston participated in a service trip to the Galapagos Islands where she helped provide much needed dental care to the residents of Isabela Island. She looks forward to participating in more service trips as her career continues. Upon graduation, Dr. Weston received the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry’s Student Award of Merit, the Academy of General Dentistry’s Senior Student Dental Award, and was recognized by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for excellence in implant dentistry. Dr. Weston has a passion for general dentistry with a special focus on restorative and esthetic procedures. She lives in West Hartford and enjoys spending her free time cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

DR. PRIYA JOHN, DMD

Dr. John was born and raised in West Hartford and was introduced to dentistry at a young age. Her father, aunt and grandmother were practicing dentists and served as strong role models and mentors for her. Dr. John received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the UCONN School of Dental Medicine where she also pursued continuing education courses focused on technology in modern dentistry. She understands the importance of staying up to date with the best technology and practices and is passionate about providing optimal care to her patients. In her spare time Dr. John enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, discovering local cuisine and traveling.
